Karen Millen is the unexpected star of Black Friday 2022 – here are 23 pieces I adore

November is nearly over which means one thing: Cyber Week. Better yet: The Karen Millen Black Friday sale has begun.

Flicking through the Black Friday section at Karen Millen, which is all currently up to 70% off by the way, we’ve found the ultimate collection of this season’s sharpest tailoring, party dresses, knitwear and accessories all in one place. Yep, since the high street hero found a home online, it’s become a serious destination for stealth chic, and according to Head of Design Bonnie Godsil, since relaunching in 2019 the brand has had a clear strategy: “Bring the joy back to the product.” We’re here for every. single. joyous. piece.

So, what’s on our wish-list for Black Friday 2022? We’re obsessed with this Teddy Longline Cosy Gilet – which looks like the price tag should have another zero on it – and these Double Platform 2 Part Peep Toe Shoes that remind us of a certain designer brand’s cult-favourite heels (hint: the Versace Medusa Aevitas Platform Pumps).

Leather is also something Karen Millen is really good at – even more so when it’s on sale – and you can currently get this Leather Biker Zip Front Belted Mini Skirt or these Stretch Leather Five Pocket Jeans for £80 less than their original prices.

The silhouettes are more than a little Jacquemus (that fuschia mini dress *drooling emoji*), the colour palette has echoes of Max Mara’s signature camel shade (we’re here for the short teddy coat) and the fabrics all feel and look waaaaay more expensive than the total of your basket would have you believe. Karen Millen definitely isn’t a fast fashion fix, though; it’s where we head after payday. That said, as we’ve pledged to spend more on our wardrobe and make it last to do our bit for sustainability, Black Friday and Cyber Weekend is the ideal time to invest in the classics our wardrobe has been crying for. Bonnie told GLAMOUR, “We have a brilliant design team who understand the signature codes of quality, fit and hardware that define us as a brand.”

She’s not wrong. Karen Millen knows how to get the people of TikTok talking, too. More than a few of its collections this year have included inspired designs that have reminded everyone of their favourite high-end brands but for a fraction of the price. Remember those sparkly Balenciaga-esque boots? No surprise as to why they sold out within seconds.
