Kate Ferdinand shares funny unseen snap taken moments after she gave birth

Kate Ferdinand wasn’t too impressed by hubby Rio Ferdinand’s decision to eat a Chinese takeaway in the moments after she gave birth to their first child together

Kate Ferdinand posted a previously unseen snap of the moments after she gave birth to her son Cree last December.

The image shows the moments Cree, who turns one today, was born, with 30-year-old Kate sharing the flashback.

While she may not have seen the funny side at the time, she poked fun at hubby RIo, 43, for deciding to devour a takeaway as she recovered from her C-section.

The former TOWIE star wrote: “1 year ago tomorrow. I told Rio when I’d had the baby I really wanted a Chinese.

“Once I had Cree I couldn’t eat because of the c section. Rather than wait until I could, he decided to eat my favourite Chinese anyway, in front of me – & take selfies for memories!!!”

She signed off: “You really are one of a kind. Thanks for being you babe,” and included a string of laughing face emojis followed by an angry face.

Meanwhile, on a more positive note, Kate shared a sweet black and white image of her cradling her bundle of joy.

She wrote alongside the pic: “Can’t believe my baby is one tomorrow.”

As well as the one-year-old, Kate is step-mum to Rio’s kids from his marriage to his late wife Rebecca Ellison, who sadly died from cancer in 2015.

Kate openly admitted she struggled at first becoming step-mum to Lorenz, 15, Tate, 13, and Tia, 10.

It has prompted the blonde beauty to launch a platform called Blended. The new network is intended to be a form of help for families who have been brought together by “a break up, fostering, adopting or loss”.

She took to Instagram to discuss the platform, writing: “As you all know we are a blended family, I am a step mum to my 3 beautiful big kids Lorenz, Tate & Tia who unfortunately lost their mum at a very young age, & now a biological mum to our beautiful blessing Cree; the icing on the cake to our extra special family.

“Being a step mum to 3 children who have been through so much & a husband whose wife passed away brings a unique set of challenges. There have been many times I have been left feeling lost, confused and not sure where to turn.

“When I first became a stepparent I felt very isolated & alone, I just didn’t know who to talk to. As my journey continues I’ve realised there is a real need for a place to connect & get advice from people going through similar experiences. I am definitely not a guru, this is as much for me and it is for you guys.”

She ended the introductory message by saying: “So here we have it @blended a safe space for us to all share our blended family experiences and support each other along this journey.”
