Kate Hudson loved her mini How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days reunion with Kathryn Hahn

Kate Hudson loved her mini How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days reunion with Kathryn Hahn

I’m not saying that I’m sitting here writing for a women’s magazine because of Andie Anderson (Kate Hudson), the plucky gal reporter of 2003’s How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. But she was definitely part of it (the other part being 13 Going On 30, TBQH).

So I’m obviously delighted that when Hudson reunited with her How to… co-star Kathryn Hahn for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, they picked up right where they left off. Andie + Michelle 5ever.

“Honestly, it was the best,” Hudson told The Hollywood Reporter at Glass Onion‘s LA premiere. “We were really close for many years, and then as it goes, kids, marriage, other kids, other marriages – for me; she’s still in hers.” (Hahn has been married to fellow actor Ethan Sandler since 2002; happy 10th anniversary!)

Hudson continued, “It turned into years where we hadn’t seen each other, and when I saw her, when I was reunited with [Kathryn] on [Glass Onion], it was like we’d never left. I feel like we are soul sisters. It’s the best.”

Then and now. I’m not crying, you’re crying.

In the completely iconic rom-com, Hahn played Kate Hudson’s clingy coworker, the source of all the man-repelling behaviours that constitute the titular “how.”

In the upcoming Netflix mystery, Hudson plays a model turned designer, Hahn an aspiring senator (I’m already on board; we love Jennifer Barkley). Hahn isn’t the first HTLAGITD co-star Hudson has shared the screen with since the movie’s debut; she and leading man Matthew McConaughey made Fool’s Gold in 2008.

The much-awaited Knives Out sequel Glass Onion will play for a limited time in cinemas (gotta get that Oscar-qualifying run, after all) before landing on Netflix just in time for Christmas on 23 December.
