Kate McKinnon finally revealed why she quit “Saturday Night Live” after 10 memorable years on the hit sketch show.

“I thought about it for a very long time, and it was very, very hard,” McKinnon told Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa on Thursday’s episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan.

“All I ever wanted to do in my whole life was be on Saturday Night Live. So, I did, I loved it, I had the best decade, and then I was just like, my body was tired, and I felt like it was time.”

The Emmy Award-winning actress quit the show earlier this year.

And when asked if she’ll be watching the upcoming season of the show, McKinnon admitted she might not be tuning in.

“I don’t know what I will do. I don’t know that I can watch the show yet because it’s too emo because I miss everyone so much,” she told Seacrest and Ripa.

“It’s my family. It’s too emo. So, I think I’m just going to take ‘The Bachelorette’ and watch it,” she quipped.

After joining “SNL” in 2012, McKinnon came to hold the record for being the longest-running female cast member in the show’s history.

She’s done every sketch imaginable, but her most notable ones saw her parody former US First Lady Hillary Clinton, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and late Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

McKinnon racked up an impressive nine Emmy nominations throughout her stint on the show, with her most recent nomination being for the Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at this year’s Emmys, which will take place in September.

Her departure comes after fellow cast member Pete Davidson quit the sketch show in May this year.

The standup comedian first joined the show in 2014 at age 20 as one of the youngest cast members to ever be part of the long-running series.
