Kate Middleton has given a rare hint at what royal fans can expect to see her wearing at King Charles III’s upcoming coronation.
It’s likely that the Princess of Wales has already landed on a show-stopping fashion ensemble with just two weeks to go before the historic day on May 6.
During her trip to Birmingham, England, with her husband Prince William — the heir to the throne — Middleton spoke to ITV host Alison Hammond about the coronation.
Recalling the pair’s conversation, the “This Morning” presenter said she asked the princess what she was planning on wearing to the coronation.
“I said to her, ‘I’m feeling like you’re gonna wear blue,’” she told the princess, according to a clip shared by British radio network Heart.
“She was like, ‘There is a hint of blue.’ So I was like, ‘Fantastic!’” Hammond recalled.
The princess, 41, has often opted for a blue outfit in her 12 years as a working member of the royal family.
While the exact reason for her love of blue is unknown, the royal family has a long-standing history of association with the color, which represents power, serenity, and stability.
The mom-of-three coordinated her blue outfit with her husband and all three of their children on Easter Sunday earlier this month.
While attending the Easter church service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, Middleton re-wore an electric blue Catherine Walker coat dress that she previously donned at the 2022 Commonwealth Day Service.
She completed the ensemble with nude suede Gianvito Rossi pumps ($775), Carousel Jewels earrings ($165) set with lapis and moonstone, one of her beloved Emmy London Natasha clutches and a blue version of the Lock & Co. pillbox hat she wore during a St. Patrick’s Day celebration last year.
Her husband, 40, looked dapper as he sported a navy suit that complemented the princess’s dress.

Their youngest son, Prince Louis, 4, made his debut at the annual event in a blue and white striped top with a tie, blazer and bright blue shorts.
His siblings Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7, who previously joined their parents at the service in 2022, also got the blue memo.
Charlotte wore a floral dress with blue tights under a double-breasted navy coat, while George twinned with his dad in a navy suit and tie.
