Kate Middleton stuns in ‘cockapoo’ – colour of the season is worn by many Royals

A brown-beige hue, Kate Middleton is no stranger to a cockapoo-coloured outfit. The Duchess regularly recycles a long coat in this exact colour.

Kate Middleton wore her classic Massimo Dutti wool coat earlier this week.

Featuring a double-breasted closure, an open collar, and buttons, the coat is camel-coloured and has been donned by the Duchess on many occasions in the past.

The floor-length coat is a staple in Kate’s wardrobe and she has often worn it over knitted garments, especially polo necks.

On Thursday, January 20, the Duchess wore the coat over a coffee-coloured roll-neck jumper.

The jumper is on sale for £145 from Iris and Ink.

Kate matched this with a long skirt in the same material and colour, costing £165 and also from Iris and Ink.

To complete the look, she donned knee-high boots in a suede material, thought to be from Saint Laurent.

What made the outfit stand out was the fact that it was all in one colour: camel – or, as some fashion experts have noted, “cockapoo”.

DON’T MISS:

While visiting Clitheroe Community Hospital Kate held a cockapoo puppy which was the exact same colour as her outfit.

The Duchess noticed this too, remarking that the dog “matches my coat”.

“Cockapoo” might very well be the colour of the season as it suits many skin tones and is a warmer, softer change from versatile black or navy.

Cockapoo-coloured garments are just as easy to wear as these classic colours, and members of the Royal Family seem to think so too.

When she was a member of the Royal Family, the Duchess of Sussex was also pictured donning varying shades of brown.

In January 2020, Meghan Markle visited Canada House in London wearing a long, satin Massimo Dutti skirt, a polo neck, velvet Jimmy Choo heels, and a Reiss coat.

Around the same time, even the Queen was seen wearing brown.

On her way to church in January 2020, Her Majesty was photographed in a camel-coloured wool coat with a matching hat.

Evidently a colour that suits all ages and skin tones, it seems that cockapoo is back in fashion again this winter.
