Kate Middleton has regularly been dubbed the “queen of recycling” – with the thrifty royal having re-worn more than 50 outfits over the years.
And it seems like the Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, may have gotten her mother Carole in on the recycling action as she appeared to have raided her daughter’s outfit for a recent outing.
Earlier this week, the mother of the future queen consort of England opted for a stunning hot pink pleated shirt-dress by designer ME+EM for day one of the annual horse racing event, the Royal Ascot.
In May of last year, Kate was spotted in a *very similar* pink shirt-dress while paying a visit to a little girl named Mila, who has leukaemia.
It is unclear whether it is the same dress, but we wouldn’t blame Carole if she sneakily borrowed the staple in her daughter Kate’s impressive and sought-after wardrobe.
While she may have been inspired by her daughter’s previous style choices for her Royal Ascot look, Carole put her spin on things with an extravagant black fascinator and matching black clutch.
She added a further touch of glamour with a pair of dainty drop pearl earrings and a necklace. Mamma Middleton sure does look good!
There’s no comparison or mother/daughter competition here, though, as Kate, whose youngest child Prince Louis kept up entertained during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, also looked sensational in the bubblegum pink number.
However, instead of a fascinator, she kept in line with last year’s covid rules and wore a face mask with her dress.
Whether it’s the exact dress or not, we know that Kate Middleton would be royally happy to let her mother Carole borrow her designer dresses!
