In 2018, whilst pregnant with Prince Louis who is now four years old, Kate Middleton stepped out in Sweden donning a yellow floral dress. The floor-length dress was from the fashion brand Erdem, which the Princess of Wales frequently wears as a royal.
Kate and William, who were then the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, posed with the Crown Princess of Sweden, Victoria, and her husband Prince Daniel during their visit to the country.
The Princess wore an Erdem “Stephanie” yellow gold floral-printed gown, which she has not worn since this occasion in January 2018.
The description says: “Erdem ‘Stephanie’ floral-printed silk-crepe de chine gown in a yellow gold hue.
“The pattern is from Erdem’s Fall 2017 collection which was heavily influenced by the designer’s Turkish roots.

“The ‘Stephanie’ gown is traced with ruffles and has bracelet-cut bell sleeves. It is finished with a self-tie belt at the waist.”
Before selling out, the dress sold for $2,695, or roughly £2,184 in British Sterling.
Royal fans were divided over Kate’s yellow floral gown. Twitter user @cadimamartins said: “It has a different look but is beautiful, in fact, she is beautiful.”
Some fans thought her dress blended into the carpet at the British Ambassador’s residence, but one royal watcher stood up for the Princess’s fashion choice.
For instance, @boofsmom said: “Both being florals does not mean they blend. The carpet has a dark background and a large floral print.
“Her dress has a light/medium background and a medium-size print. She looked lovely as always.”
However, @LilaFowler2017 was more critical of Kate’s style and wrote: “In my opinion, that is just one hideous dress.”
@AranetaCandy agreed, commenting: “She didn’t seem to dress the way she always does – classy.

“The dress looks like it came out of a movie set. Someone must have ill-advised her. She always dresses right and is loved by all. Can’t buy class.”
Twitter user @kiedre added: “It’s vile and the colour is awful!”
The dress was an interesting choice on Kate’s part, because mostly everyone else in the room, including Crown Princess Victoria, dressed in black.
Kate likely chose the yellow colour as a nod to the Swedish flag, which is blue and yellow.
To accessorise on that evening in Sweden, Kate could be seen carrying a burgundy-coloured Jimmy Choo clutch bag.
The Princess also wore the late Princess Diana’s Collingwood diamond and pearl earrings, in addition to the late royal’s pearl bracelet.
For footwear, Kate wore her Gianvito Rossi pumps, which are one of her favourite shoe designers.
Kate styled her brunette locks in a low bun, which allowed her dress and jewellery to take centre stage.
