Kate Middleton and Prince William visited Birmingham on Thursday when the royal couple met Alison Hammond, the host of This Morning. Alison, who is originally from Birmingham, shared parts of a conversation she had with the Princess of Wales that involved her Coronation dress.
The 48-year-old admitted that she asked Kate what she was wearing at King Charles’s Coronation, and whether or not she would be wearing blue.
This is because the Princess wears blue frequently and it is often seen as a colour loved by the entire Wales family.
According to Alison, Kate admitted there will be “a hint of blue” in her Coronation dress, which is the first detail about her upcoming gown that has been released.
Kate has often worn blue during her 12 years as a working member of the Royal Family, and there is likely a reason as to why this is.

The Royal Family has a long history of association with the colour blue, which stands for power, assurance, and confidence.
On Easter Sunday, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children all wore blue, which may have been a symbolic choice.
It can also be a clear sign of unity when the family step out wearing the same colour.
Fashion expert and personal stylist Samantha Harman told Express.co.uk that the royals often wear blue to send a message that the monarchy is in “safe hands”.
She said: “In colour psychology, blue is associated with trustworthiness.”
According to Ms Harman, when the late Queen began stepping back from public events, Kate and Camilla were constantly wearing blue.
She clarified: “Camilla and Kate will be well aware of the role they need to play, and every part of their public looks are planned meticulously. Especially for a royal tour.
“It’s no coincidence that they’re wearing more blue – blue means stability and reliability.

“So, they’re conveying the message that the future is in safe hands.”
Kate’s calming demeanour is epitomised by the colour blue, which is typically seen as calming and neutral.
The names “blue blood” and “royal blue” come from the historical associations between the colour blue and royalty.
When designing clothing for Queen Charlotte after her marriage to King George III in 1761, it is said that whoever developed Royal Blue did it in Somerset.
Another possibility is that Kate wears blue frequently because she simply likes the shade. Kate has marked some of her most significant milestones in a blue dress.
For instance, she wore a royal blue Issa wrap dress for her official engagement photocall in 2010 with Prince William.
In addition, the Princess wore a custom blue-and-white polka-dot Jenny Packham dress on the steps of the Lindo Wing following the birth of Prince George in 2013.
