Kathy Griffin celebrates 61st birthday with topless dance

Comedienne Kathy Griffin has celebrated her first birthday after her cancer diagnosis by dancing in her birthday suit.

The funnywoman, who underwent surgery in August to remove part of her left lung, shared a video herself shimmying on her waterfront balcony, with the camera tastefully aimed above her waist and from behind.

“IT’S MY BIRTHDAY, BABY! 61 AND SEXXXXY,” Griffin captioned the Instagram video on Thursday.

Several celebrity friends wished her a happy birthday, including Kris Jenner, actress Selma Blair and fellow comedienne Caroline Rhea.

“Happy Birthday!!!!!! Sending you tons of love xoxoxox,” wrote Kris, who celebrated her 66th birthday the following day.

Blair, who documents her battle with multiple sclerosis in the film Introducing, Selma Blair, joked, “Happy birthday Kathy!!! Love you dummy”.

After the successful surgery, Griffin took to Instagram to admit that the operation had been more extensive than she’d expected.

“To be honest, this cancer surgery was a little more than I had anticipated. Tonight will be my first night without any narcotic pain killers. Hello Tylenol, my new best friend!” she wrote on Instagram.

She added that she was more worried about the drugs she was given after her operation than the cancer itself.

“The last time I was in a hospital was in June 2020 when I tried to take my own life and overdosed on prescription pills. With over a year clean and drug free, I now know I can do this and anything I want without those devil pills. Y’know what? I fear drugs and addiction more than I fear cancer. So, I think I’ll be ok,” she shared at the time.
