When Katie Holmes finds a reliable staple that she loves, she’ll often wear it to death. No item in her wardrobe is dabbled with for a single outing: each piece is utilied for all its worth.
Two seasonal buys have received Katie’s seal of approval this month: Khaite’s sleek tan Amelia tote bag has been seen slung over her arm several times, which she’s teamed with a pair of off-beat Acne Studios loafers.
For a stroll with her daughter Suri, the Dawson’s Creek actor bundled up in a smart checked Khaite wrap coat, leggings and a jumper, styled with her new directional loafers. To brave the New York chill, she kept snug in chunky ribbed socks that peeped over the top of her square-toed shoes. A day earlier, she styled her collegiate footwear with a cosy cream coat and jeans, with Khaite’s Amelia bag in her grasp.
While sneakers are Katie’s typical shoe of choice, more polished styles – like her Le Monde Beryl slippers, heeled Chloé Franne loafers, Vagabond Cosmo loafers, Gucci Brixton and A.P.C. Lara flats – have entered her everyday wardrobe.
Trainers still take pride of place, though. She can’t get enough of kicks from Veja, Common Projects, Re/Done, New Balance, Sorel and Saucony – although it’s only a matter of time before she digs out her collection of cool-girl winter boots once again.
