Katie Price opens up about the car crash incident

Troubled Katie Price finally addresses her drink-drugs crash as she admitted her kids could have been left “without a mum” in her Channel 4 documentary.

The 43-year-old reality star has been making headlines recently for her behaviour which is spiralling out of control.

Filming was halted last year following the incident, which saw the star almost kill herself in a crash, as she spent 30 days at The Priory rehabilitation centre.

In upcoming scenes on the Channel 4 programme, Katie speaks about the horrifying moment.

She vows to turn her life around after “hitting rock bottom”, saying: “I mean I can deal with a lot of things, stress, pressure, I breathe that. Behind closed doors there’s drama, no ones life is perfect.

“When it hits me personally, that’s what I can’t deal with. I regret getting in the car, I could have killed someone. I could have killed myself. My kids might not have had a mum. It’s awful.

“I was rock bottom at that point. It was a wake up call. I don’t want to be in that situation again. In fact I don’t want to be in a situation where I feel that sad inside that I need to just go and do something, be destructive and hurt people around me because I don’t know how to cope with it.

“I have now decided to see a therapist every week for the rest of my life and put my hand up and say yeah I need help, help me.”

She adds: “So, although there’s situations going on, I am still alive, yes there are consequences for what I have done but I just want to breathe. My house is now turning into the family home that I couldn’t focus on before for years. And now I am turning it back to my home, my hub, it’s all about the future and getting to the next stage.”

In December, Katie avoided jail after flipping her car in a drink-drive crash.

She was given a 16-week prison term suspended for 12 months and 100 hours of community service after pleading guilty at Crawley Magistrates’ Court to drink-driving, driving without insurance and while banned from the roads.

She opened up about the crash in her TV show

A judge told her at the time that she was lucky to not be spending Christmas behind bars.

Announcing her sentence, District Judge Amanda Kelly said: “When you chose to get behind the wheel that night you showed no concern for others.

“You could have killed somebody. Your actions meant the emergency services had to use up their precious time. You knowingly and deliberately flouted a court order and not for the first time.

“You seem to think you are above the law.”
