File this Kelly Clarkson story under family tales that’d never get old.

As many a Kelly Clarkson fan knows, her stepmother-in-law used to be Reba McEntire.

Here’s a photo of Narvel, Reba, Kelly, and Brandon all together in 2015.

And here’s an even earlier photo of Reba, Brandon, and Kelly from 2012, featuring Warner Music Nashville CEO John Espositio and Blake Shelton.

During the show, Michael discussed an odd-looking doll that appeared in the series.

This prompted Kelly to share a story about her own interaction with a doll at a celeb’s house, and the cast adorably prodded her to name-drop which celeb.

“It was Reba, and I stayed at her house,” Kelly said. “She had a doll, though. It was this doll, and it was so creepy to me.”

Okay, I’m already obsessed with this anecdote, but it gets better.

“Two days later, she’s like, ‘So, we found the doll in the closet.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I’m sorry. I didn’t put it back,'” Kelly continued. “It scared me, and I couldn’t sleep. I was just like, ‘I’m not going to sleep with that thing just looking at me.’”

Honestly, I get it, Kelly. Falling asleep is already hard enough.

Anyway, the conversation moved on to costume design on Maisel, but this doll story is going to stick with me far longer than I think I’d like it to.
