ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins may want to double-check his sources before he hops on “SportsCenter.”
During an appearance on “SportsCenter” this Tuesday, the former NBA center said that Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga underwent an absurd growth spurt in just the past few months.
“From reports, I’m hearing that Jonathan Kuminga is now 7-foot-2,” Perkins said. “The kid has gotten better every single season.”

Well, those “reports” Perkins was talking about were made up by NBA fans on Twitter.
We’re not kidding.
Moses Moody on Jonathan Kuminga having another growth spurt this past year:
“I’m not lying… he’s tall as f*** now.”
The 19 yr old Kuminga arrived in the Bay at only 6’7
20 yr old Kuminga now rumored to be 7’0 ???? pic.twitter.com/22lMOm24lJ

This tweet included a fake tweet from Moses Moody. It claims that he said, “I’m not lying. He’s [Kuminga] tall as f— now.”
Moody never made this comment about Kuminga, who is listed as 6-foot-8.
Obviously, this is a tough look for Perkins. That being said, his point about Kuminga having a nice skillset is accurate.
Kuminga, a former No. 7 overall pick, averaged 9.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this past season. The Warriors will need more out of him if they lose Draymond Green in free agency.
