Kerr’s GF cheers her up after injury with INTIMATE tribute

Soccer superstar Sam Kerr was an unfortunate late withdrawal from the Matilda’s Women’s World Cup opener against Ireland on Thursday.

In an attempt to cheer her up, Kerr’s US rival soccer girlfriend Kristie Mewis took to Instagram to share an intimate tribute to the West Aussie.

The Gotham FC midfielder shared a bikini pic of her in a series of snaps sitting poolside and revealed the small tattoo “Baby” on her inner thigh.

Referencing a photo of Mewis’ soccer boots in the series, Kerr commented on the post: “Didn’t make the boots.”

Mewis replied: “You made my thigh.”

Fans went wild over the comments, which both got more than 450 likes each.

Kerr commented a final time with: “Sccccuzzzimwa.”

The couple have been dating for nearly three years after photos of the lovers emerged of them getting close following a match at the Tokyo Olympics.

“We’re not private people. I like sharing my story. I like sharing who I am outside of football. Football is 5 per cent of my life,” Kerr told UK publication Gaffer.

“We set little milestones and we make time during the week where we’ll watch the shame show and FaceTime or have dinner together or something. But it’s tough.”

Reflecting on dating in the public eye, Mewis recently said: “I think just being out and being two girls in love, I think if we can change one or two people’s lives and the way that they feel about each other and how comfortable they feel, then that means a lot to me.

“I love to share my relationship on social media.”
