Kevin Durant is making headlines this Wednesday because of a tweet he deleted about Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.
It all started with Dan Le Batard questioning why NBA fans don’t love Jokic as much as they should.
“You’ve got a player who’s foreign who, if he were American, good god would he be a star,” Le Batard said. “Good god! Same personality. Same exact personality. Holy s-t! A white dude dominating the NBA? ‘Yeah it’s a white dude but we don’t know or understand him. Where does he come from? Oh s-t. What’s his past? His brother is what? What is all that?’ All that is rugged beyond all of your belief.”
Durant decided to offer his thoughts on this take from Le Batard.
“I don’t think Jokic wants or cares to be a star,” Durant replied. “Go to work and go home, FaceTime his horses and hop in the pool.”

Honestly, this tweet from Durant didn’t come off as offensive. If anything, it made Jokic even more polarizing than he already is.
Jokic will be back in action this evening for Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
