For the first time since Kevin Durant was wearing No. 35 in burnt orange, the Texas Longhorns are headed back to the Sweet 16.

No. 2 Texas was able to escape with a second round victory over scrappy Penn State, thanks in large part to the play of senior forward Dylan Disu.

KD himself took notice. Tweeting, “See y’all in the 16. Gameball goes to Dylan Disu, looked like a young LaMarcus Aldridge out there. Let’s get it [Texas Men’s Basketball].”

Fans reacted to Durant’s post following the win.

“A Longhorn Legend speaks!!! Dylan Disu was HIM tonight!” a user said. “#HookEm.”

“Kevin Durant just tweeted about a guy from Pflugerville, Texas,” another noted.

“The GOAT has spoken.”

“Dylan Disu broke a Texas record today previously held by KD,” tweeted Michelle Knezovic. “Dylan Disu scored 28 points, which is the most in a NCAA Tournament game by a Texas player since Kevin Durant in 2007.”

“From the OG KD,” reported Cedric Golden.

Horns up.
