Kevin Durant is one of the greatest scorers in NBA history.
During his 16-year NBA career with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets, and Phoenix Suns, Durant has averaged 27.3 points on 50 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent from long distance.
There are other elite scorers like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Carmelo Anthony, Karl Malone, Wilt Chamberlain, ShaQ, Allen Iverson, and more.
But when it comes to the greatest ever? That’s a hot topic. There was a fake viral quote on Thursday saying Durant would pick himself before he commented on social media.
“I’m 7′ tall and have the skillset of a shooting guard. I am the best scorer in NBA history, my only weakness is injuries.”
Durant shot down the fake quote on social media.

Durant, 34, is currently 13th on the all-time scoring list. James, Jabbar, Malone, Bryant, Jordan round out the top-five.
The former No. 2 overall pick averaged 29.1 points on 56 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent from long distance this season in 47 games.
