Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal could be on the move.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Wizards are in serious discussions with the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns about a potential trade for the former All-Star.
It hasn’t translated to a great deal of team success, but Beal has been one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA for a number of years.
That’s a fact that isn’t lost on one of his potential future teammates in Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns.
Kevin Durant back in December called Bradley Beal a Hall of Fame player:
“I mean, he’s a Hall of Fame, All-Star scorer. Player, sorry. Calling him just a scorer is diminishing who he is.” pic.twitter.com/Nuq6REP8jr

Back in December, when Durant was still a member of the Brooklyn Nets, he was very complimentary toward Beal.
“He’s a Hall of Fame, All-Star scorer. Player, sorry. Calling him a scorer is diminishing who he is,” Durant said after a game against the Wizards.
Beal would need to waive his no-trade clause for any move to happen, but it’s hard to think that he wouldn’t want to play with Durant and Devin Booker in Phoenix.
New Suns owner Mat Ishbia hasn’t been shy about his championship aspirations, and the team has taken big swings since he took over, including trading for Durant.
A trio of Beal, Booker and Durant would feature three of the best scorers in the NBA – a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses and a highlight reel waiting to happen every single night.
We’ll have to see if Durant will be able to say the same things about Beal as a teammate if he’s traded.
