Since the Heat dropped Game 1 of the NBA Finals, there should be an added sense of urgency heading into Sunday night’s game. A 2-0 series deficit against the Nuggets may be too steep to overcome.
Unfortunately for the Heat, there’s a chance they could play Game 2 without a key member of their rotation.
Tim Reynolds just reported that Martin will sit out Saturday’s practice due to an illness.
It’s unclear if Martin will be available for Game 2.
Caleb Martin (illness) won’t practice with the Heat today.

Martin has played such an important role for the Heat this postseason, averaging 13.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
In Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals, Martin had 26 points and 10 rebounds on the road. Every time the Celtics tried to make a run, Martin would silence the home crowd.
Martin struggled in Game 1 of the Finals, scoring just three points in 25 minutes. If he does suit up for Game 2, he should have a much better stat line.
