Despite competing with blockbusters such as Beast (Tamil) and Jersey (Hindi), KGF 2 continues to have a strong showing in theatres. At the box office, the film has already surpassed the ₹550 crore mark. The action picture was launched in theatres on April 14 and made over ₹164.20 crores in its first day. Notably, the Yash-starrer has surpassed the records of Indian blockbusters like as Dangal, Baahubali: The Conclusion, RRR, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Secret Superstar, and PK to become the seventh highest-grossing Indian film. The release of KGF 2 was originally scheduled for October 23, 2020, but was postponed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rather of choosing for an over-the-top service, the film’s creators chose to wait for the film’s theatrical premiere.
