WARRIORS star Khama Billiat scored his second goal of the season to inspire Kaizer Chiefs’ 4-0 victory over Chippa United in a South African Premiership match at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg Saturday.

Billiat, who last scored for Chiefs in August, ended his goal drought with a 70th-minute strike after linking up with Keegan Dolly, who scored a brace.

In addition to his goal, the 31-year-old Warriors star provided assists for both goals scored by Dolly in the 12th minute and on the half-hour mark.

Chiefs’ other goal was scored by Lazarous Kambole as the Soweto giants stormed into the top eight on the log.

This was a much-needed win for the Chiefs as they went into the match under pressure following a lean run of four matches without a win where they suffered two losses and as many draws.

For Billiat, Saturday’s performance will go a long way in silencing some of his critics as he continues working hard towards rediscovering his form after a difficult spell at Chiefs due to injuries.

Meanwhile England-based Zimbabwe rising star Jordan Zemura scored his third goal in this campaign as climbed to the top of the EFL Championship with a 2-0 win over Bristol City at Ashton Gate Saturday.

The 21-year-old defender, who has featured in almost every minute of Bournemouth’s campaign this season, grabbed the second goal at the stroke of half-time after Jamal Lowe had put the away team ahead in the 21st minute.

It was the third goal for Zemura, who had already scored two goals against Barnsley in the 3-0 win at Vitality Stadium on matchday six.

Zemura was Zimbabwe’s most outstanding player in their recent back-to-back defeats in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ghana and is expected to play an important role for the national team at the African Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon in January.
