Khloe Kardashian knew surrogate was pregnant before learning Tristan Thompson cheated again

If Khloé Kardashian fans are wondering how she could possibly have another baby with the philandering  Tristan Thompson, it’s been revealed that the ex-couple’s surrogate already was pregnant when the NBA star’s latest cheating scandal surfaced in December.

A source told People that the surrogate the couple hired to carry their second child was three to four weeks pregnant when Kardashian and the rest of the world learned in early December that Thompson had fathered a baby with another woman. Another source told Page Six that the baby, a boy, was conceived in November. Both People and Page Six emphasized that Kardashian and Thompson are not back together as a couple, even if they are having a second child together.

Indeed, the on-again, off-again couple haven’t spoken since December, outside of discussing matters related to co-parenting their children, People reported. The exes also are parents of 4-year-old daughter True.

As People noted, Thompson’s latest cheating scandal played out on the first season of “The Kardashians,” the Kardashian family’s new reality TV series on Hulu.

“If you remember during filming when Khloé found out about Tristan’s cheating, she was calm, which makes a bit more sense because she knew she was pregnant and getting her baby,” the source told People.

“News came out that Tristan was having a baby in December and that’s when Khloé found out the surrogate was pregnant,” the insider added. “The surrogate was literally three to four weeks pregnant at this time.”

Khloe Kardashian’s representative confirmed Wednesday that the reality TV star was expecting her second child, via surrogate, with the Chicago Bulls player. Page Six added that the baby is a boy, while TMZ cited sources who either said the baby’s birth is imminent, or that it was born in the last day or so.

“Khloé has always wanted a little brother for True and decided to go ahead with having the baby with the support of her family,” a source told Page Six.

Kardashian supposedly was shocked to learn in early December that Thompson had cheated on her again, conceiving a baby with Texas personal trainer Maralee Nichols at a time when she and Thompson were trying to reconcile after his first cheating scandal. Nichols gave birth to her son with Thompson in early December and filed a lawsuit, asking Thompson for child support.

Kardashian and Thompson first began dating in 2017, when he already was expecting a baby with another of his ex-girlfriends. But they broke up in February 2019 after news broke that Thompson, then playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, had been unfaithful with multiple women. At the time, Kardashian was days away from giving birth to True.

The couple initially tried to work things out, but a few months later Thompson was “very touchy-feely” with another woman in a club, US Weekly reported at the time.

In early 2019, Thompson was accused in yet another cheating scandal, this time involving Jordyn Woods, Kylie Jenner’s now-former best friend.

That scandal prompted Kardashian to call it quits with Thompson, seemingly for good, but they reconciled in the summer of 2020 during COVID quarantine. During their reconciliation, Kardashian and Thompson explored the idea of having another child together via a surrogate, People reported.

On a 2020 episode of her previous show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Kardashian was seen talking to Thompson about her desire to have more children with him, Newsweek reported.

She told Thompson: “I might get some embryos and get a sibling. I might need to borrow some sperm or get some from you, but we’ll figure that out later.”

On another episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” in February 2021, Kardashian told Thompson she was ready for baby number two, Newsweek added.
