Khloé Kardashian has revealed the 4cm scar and stitches she received after a scary brush with skin cancer.
The Good American founder, 38, appeared with a bandage across her left cheek in the trailer for the latest season of The Kardashians.
Khloé had surgery after medics performed a biopsy on what the reality star had thought was a zit and discovered it was melanoma.
According to the NHS, melanoma is a type of skin cancer that can spread to other areas of the body and the main cause of the disease is ultraviolet light.
In the short clip, her worried mother Kris Jenner, 67, tells producers in a confessional: ‘This on her face is very concerning.’
Viewers then see a close-up of Khloé’s wound which has been stitched up and measures 4cm, according to a ruler placed next to the incision.
Khloé is then seen with a bandage fixed to her cheek in deep conversation with her best friend, Malika Haqq, 40.
Looking concerned, Malika tells her: ‘I don’t think I’ve seen you this low.’
Khloé’s sister Kendall Jenner, 27, is also heard fretting about her well-being in the trailer.
The supermodel states: ‘She doesn’t sleep. She doesn’t eat. She’s lost a lot of weight.’
Khloé herself comments in a confessional: ‘Melanoma is deadly. This is way more serious than I anticipated it to be.’
The Kardashians star previously addressed the wound in an Instagram post in a bid to encourage fans to check their bodies.
She explained: ‘After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied 7 months after realising it was not budging.’
The starlet revealed that two doctors had biopsied the lump as what they were seeing was ‘incredibly rare’ for someone of her age.
‘A few days later I was told I need to have an immediate operation to remove a tumour from my face,’ she revealed.
Khloé continued: ‘So here we are… you’ll probably see a scar (and an indentation in my cheek from the tumour being removed) but until then I hope you enjoy how fabulous I’m making these face bandages look.’
Khloé has also previously opened up about having skin cancer on her back, urging fans to check their moles.
She explained on her website in 2016: ‘I’ve gone through this process a couple of times and I am so grateful that most moles have not been cancerous. However, there was one mole I had on my back that was skin cancer.
Khloe continued: ‘I had 8 inches of skin removed. It was definitely painful because it was a lot of skin, but most of the time the removals haven’t been that bad.’
The Kardashians will be launching on Disney Plus on May 25.
