In a new episode of “The Kardashians,” Kim Kardashian proved that even a trip to the DMV can be a glamorous affair. The reality star arrived at the California DMV in style, accompanied by her trusted glam squad, ready to capture the “most important photo you’ll ever take” – her driver’s license picture.
Sporting her $450 Balenciaga pedicure flip-flops, a sleeveless black mock-neck top, and an oversized varsity jacket, Kardashian made a grand entrance, exclaiming, “I swear this is where I came to get my license.” Her hairdresser, Chris Appleton, followed closely behind, carrying a bag filled with styling tools, while Kardashian expressed her gratitude to the staff for keeping the DMV open exclusively for her photo session.
With cameras rolling, Appleton declared, “Today we are with Kim, and we’re getting her driving-license-picture-ready,” as makeup artist Ariel Tejada chuckled beside him. The celebrity hairstylist emphasized the significance of the photo, stating, “It’s a big deal because you have to live with it for a long time.” Tejada agreed, giving Kardashian a high five and jokingly adding, “No matter where Kim goes, me and Ariel have got her back.”
As Kardashian sat in a plastic chair, engrossed in her phone, Tejada expertly applied makeup while Appleton used a crimper to create effortless beach waves in her hair. The scene was a perfect blend of beauty and bureaucracy, with a producer commenting, “I love that you’re glamming for the photo.” Kardashian replied, “I mean, this is the most important photo you’ll ever take in your life.”
Amidst the primping session, a lighthearted height debate ensued among Kardashian and her team. Although her license paperwork stated she was 5-foot-3, Kardashian insisted she was at least half an inch taller. Tejada playfully teased her, suggesting she was “definitely, like, 5-foot-2.”
Surrounded by her glam squad, Kardashian eagerly awaited the moment for her photo to be captured. Tejada held up a light while Appleton meticulously adjusted her hair. After only two tries, the DMV photographer successfully captured the shot, much to their delight. Kardashian couldn’t resist a playful jab at her sister Kourtney, referring to the saying, “First is the worst, second is the best.” She added with a smirk, “That’s why I’m the second child.”
