The OG Keeping Up with the Kardashians might have been replaced by the slick and shiny The Kardashians on Hulu, but there are certain scenes from the original E! series that will never leave our minds, including the many weddings, Scott Disick pranking Kris Jenner as Todd Kraines, and Kim Kardashian losing her earring in the ocean in Bora Bora. “Kim, there’s people that are dying!” has practically become part of the global lexicon, and fans were quick to bring back that iconic moment specifically to troll Kim Kardashian on her latest Instagram post.
On July 25, Kim Kardashian shared a handful of pics from a recent vacation to her Instagram account, posing in her bikini while other people swim nearby, effectively photobombing her moment in the spotlight. “Can’t a girl get a good solo pic pleaseeeee,” she wrote in the caption.

The star is clearly joking about the photo crashers, and commenters are reciprocating the vibes with the KUWTK reference. “Hope you’ve taken out your earrings,” wrote one commenter, harkening back to the very moment when Kardashian’s giant diamond stud fell out of her ears when she was tossed into the turquoise waters by then-partner Kris Humphries.
“It’s giving diamond earring eraaaaaa,” added another. “Kim pls there are people who are dying,” teased another. “A picture that you can hear,” wrote a follower, and yes, we can absolutely hear Kardashian crying about her earrings while swiping through this gallery. (Although, if you’ll remember, little sister Kylie Jenner did save the day and find the missing jewel in the water.)
Despite the photobombers, one of whom is her son Saint, Kardashian finds her light in her pics. She’s wearing a classic triangle string bikini — likely the SKIMS Micro Tanga Bikini Bottom and Triangle Top in Onyx — and her hair is wet and slicked back from a dip in the water. Maybe she didn’t get a “good” solo photo in the crowded water, but she did get a funny one, and that’s really what matters, right?
