Kim Sejeong And Go Chang Suk Display Similar Charms As A Passionate Father-Daughter Duo In “Today’s Webtoon”

“Today’s Webtoon” has shared a preview of Kim Sejeong and Go Chang Suk’s father-daughter chemistry!

The upcoming SBS drama is a Korean remake of the popular 2016 Japanese drama “Sleepeeer Hit!” The drama will tell the story of On Ma Eum (Kim Sejeong), a former judo athlete who joins Neon Webtoon’s editorial department as a new employee and struggles to mature into a true editor amidst South Korea’s competitive webtoon industry.

One of the key things to look forward to in the drama is the synergy between On Ma Eum and her father On Ki Bong (Go Chang Suk). On July 18, the production team shared a sneak peek of the two characters.

On Ki Bong is the coach of a high school judo team who never got to fulfill his dreams of winning a gold medal at the Olympics. Therefore, his eldest daughter On Ma Eum, who has a knack for judo, is his source of hope, and he wants to turn her into a gold medalist.

On Ma Eum took after her father’s extraordinary athleticism, physical strength, grit, and passion, and in the photos, the two exude the same vibrant, zealous energy with their sharp eyes and bright grin. Although On Ma Eum had to give up on judo, the two will show continue to show deep affection for each other throughout the story.

The production team stated, “Kim Sejeong and Kim Kwang Gyu portrayed a father and daughter who care about each other in SBS’s ‘A Business Proposal,’ and she will create chemistry with Go Chang Suk that exceeds expectations and predictions in ‘Today’s Webtoon.’ It is said that the two actors have the same speech, behavior, and facial expressions on the drama set. Please look forward to their lovely performances.”

“Today’s Webtoon” premieres on July 29 at 10 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Viki.
