KISS lead guitarist makes Perth girl’s day stopping for pic

Rock and roll legends KISS were spotted arriving at Crown Towers in high spirits with lead singer Paul Stanley giving The West an excited thumbs up.

The American band is gearing up to rock out to an audience at RAC Arena on Friday night for the highly anticipated Perth leg of their End Of The Road international tour.

Tommy Thayer, Paul Stanley, and Eric Singer arrived on Wednesday, but Gene Simmons was nowhere in sight.

Lead guitarist Thayer stopped to pose with young fan Harper Judge, 7.

Her father, Paul, said she was “over the moon” and “loved” the brief interaction.

“It was her first taste of being around that kind of scene, and she loved it,” he said.

Mr Judge said KISS was his earliest musical influence when he played as a bassist in Perth rock band Baby Jane during the late 2000s.

Renowned for high-energy concerts full of greasepaint, pyrotechnics and fist-pumping rock songs, KISS’ journey to Australia was postponed in November 2019 due to illness.

The tour began in January 2019 and hit Australia 42 years after their first visit here in 1980.

Friday night’s action will kick off at 6.15pm with the band set to appear on stage from 9pm.
