Injuries have been a bit of an issue for the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Miami Heat. They’re going to continue heading into Game 4.
Ahead of tonight’s game, the Knicks announced that star bench player Immanuel Quickley has been ruled out with a sprained left ankle. Quickley appeared in 81 games for the Knicks this past year, averaging a career-high 14.9 points per game.
In the playoffs, Quickley has been a little less effective, averaging only 9.0 points per game. In Game 3 against the Heat he had 12 points in 27 minutes.
Due to his recent form, Knicks fans aren’t exactly crying over the fact that he’ll be missing for their crucial Game 4.

“This is actually better for the Knicks,” one user replied.
“We bout to get a D Rose sighting,” wrote another, referring to Derrick Rose as his likely replacement.
“Advantage Knicks,” wrote a third.
Immanuel Quickley was pretty essential to the Knicks coming off the bench in the 2022-23 season. He was a finalist for the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year but lost out to Celtics star Malcolm Brogdon.
Game 4 of the Knicks-Heat series will begin at 7:30 pm ET and will air on TNT.
