The New York Knicks turned their fortunes around by making a big acquisition last offseason in Jalen Brunson.
Brunson led the Knicks all season, playing at what many believed to be an All-Star level.
The Knicks went on to win their first playoff series in a decade, and they’re looking to improve yet again with another big move.

According to The Athletic’s Fred Katz, the Knicks contacted the Chicago Bulls regarding a potential deal for former All-Star guard Zach LaVine. The Bulls responded, but the asking price was “giant,” according to Katz.
LaVine is one of the best players on the Bulls’ roster, and they’re going to want a substantial return for him.
The Knicks have a lot of young players that they could include in a potential trade, but those young players like Quentin Grimes and Immanuel Quickley were vital in the team’s rotation last year.
The Bulls barely missed out on the playoffs last season, losing in the play-in tournament to the eventual Eastern Conference champions, the Miami Heat.
They’re dealing with a major injury to Lonzo Ball that has halted their ascension in the East, but they figure to be in the mix for a playoff spot with LaVine on the roster next season.
If the Bulls move on from LaVine, it’s going to take an offer they can’t refuse – from the Knicks or any other team who happens to be interested.
