The New York Knicks are finalizing trade to send forward Obi Toppin to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for two future second-round picks, per ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
The deal can’t be completed until Thursday, the but details are reportedly agreed upon.

Toppin, a former standout for the Dayton Flyers, entered the league as the Knicks’ No. 8 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He quickly became a fan-favorite in New York, but never really caught on as a consistent producer for the franchise.
Through his first three NBA seasons, Toppin averaged 7.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game. This past season, he averaged 7.4 points and 2.8 boards per game.
While his playing time was limited in New York, Toppin is expected to see a spike in usage as he makes his way onto the guard-heavy Pacers roster.
Toppin is scheduled to earn $6.8 million on his club-exercised option this coming season.
