KUWAIT CITY, Jan 17: Kuwait’s Muhammed Burbayea slipped to second place in the final round of the 2021-22 Jet Ski World Cup Pro Runabout GP after topping the points table in three previous rounds at Thailand’s Jomtien Beach resort. Burbayea, 33, a member of Pro Rider Kuwait, was pipped to the title by Marcus Jorgensen of MJ Racing, trailing the Dane by 26 points.
It comes after points accumulated by the racers in Poland and the USA. The Kuwaiti is a 15-time IJSBA champion – his last title clinched back in the 2012 in the Amateur Classic Runabout Limited event. Kuwait Sea Sports Club jet ski committee head Hussain Dashti praised the accomplishment, and the rider’s preparation for the event, especially under such tough circumstances due to the global pandemic.
