KUWAIT CITY , Dec 9: In the ongoing Arab Elite Tennis Masters Championship at Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah International Tennis Complex, Kuwaiti player Abdul Hamid Juma qualified for the quarter-finals in the individual category after defeating his Syrian competitor Youssef.
Juma performed remarkably well that enabled him to settle the match in the 16th round of the championship by (6/3) and (6/4). Kuwaiti player Talal Antar lost to his Tunisian counterpart Wissam Abdel Rahman in two sets (6/0) and (6/4). In the doubles competitions, Kuwaiti players Bader Antar and Issa Qabazard entered quarter-finals after their victory over Jordanian players Musa Al-Qutb and Hamza Al-Aswad (2/0) (6/3) and (6/2).
The Kuwaiti players Abdul Hamid Juma and Ali Al-Shatti also qualified in the same round, after winning over Jordan’s Saif Adas and Kuwaiti Talal Antar (2/0) (6/3) for each group. (KUNA)
