Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore has postponed the KYPY 2021 exam which was supposed to be held on November 07. The decision is taken after the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court has put a stay on the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Fellowship Award 2021 examination. With this, the KVPY admit cards which were released on October 07, stands cancelled and the same will be released afresh.

“The Honourable High Court of Madras, Madurai bench stayed the KVPY Aptitude Test scheduled on November 07, 2021. We regret to inform you that, the KVPY Aptitude Test will not be held on November 07, 2021,” reads the official statement at website kvpy.iisc.ernet.in.

The Institute has further said that the details regarding the KVPY 2021 new exam date and issuance of admit card will be available in due course on the website. Hence, the candidates are asked to keep a check on the website from time to time.

KVPY Admit Card 2021

It has come to the notice that the IISC has withdrawn the KVPY admit card link from the window (cdn.digialm.com). The admit card link was activated earlier this month for November 07, scheduled KVPY exam. Now it is expected that the institute will issue fresh admit cards on a later date. The candidates who have registered for the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Fellowship Award 2021 will be eligible to download and print their e-admit cards online from its official site kvpy.iisc.ernet.in. To download the admit card, candidates have to enter their login credentials.

KVPY 2021 will consist of question papers of SA and SB/SX streams. SA stream consists of 80 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. All the candidates have to attempt the SA stream paper in a time duration of 3 hours (180 minutes). While the SB/SQ stream consists a total of 120 questions with 160 marks in total. To attempt this stream, the same time duration is given to the students. The examination is held in two consecutive shifts on a single day. To make students familiar with the online exam, IISc has facilitated a mock test link of the KVPY aptitude test on its official website. 

KVPY 2021 Exam Date:

KVPY aptitude test 2021 will be held on a new exam date, likely to be announced in due course of time. Earlier, the exam was supposed to be held on November 07, 2021. 

About KVPY: The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, offers attractive fellowships of Rs. 5000 to Rs. 7,000 p/m and contingency grants equivalent to four months fellowship per annum to students studying in the 1st-year of the program in Basic Science courses including B.Sc/ B.S/ B.Stat/ B.Math/ Integrated M.Sc/ Integrated M.S.

Based on the performance in the KVPY aptitude test, short-listed students are called for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure. To be selected to receive the fellowship, both aptitude tests and interview marks are considered.
