Kx5 lead news of forthcoming debut album with ‘Take Me High’Kmau

Coming off of a strong 2022 EDC Las Vegas performance, Kx5 (Kaskade and deadmau5) have already seen success in their alias’ lone single, “Escape”. Now, seven months after its release, Kx5 are laying the groundwork for the project’s sophomore single, “Take Me High,” due September 16. Premiered at their headlining EDC Las Vegas set, “Take Me High” features a progressive house melody that breaks down into an acid-filled bassline.

In March, Dancing Astronaut sat down for an exclusive interview with Kaskade and deadmau5, and although the duo playfully nodded at much new music to come, they never concretely disclosed just what was to come. In conjunction with the news of their latest single, Kaskade and deadmau5 have confirmed what all fans have been waiting for: an album. In the time leading up to the long-form endeavor, to be released in 2023, Kaskade and deadmau5 will continue to roll out singles from the to-be-titled LP. Likely to include many never-before-heard previews of what’s to come, Kx5’s performance at The Coliseum in Los Angeles will not be one to miss come December. Tickets can be purchased here.
