“Uncle Drew” has finally made his way to the Drew League.
Kyrie Irving played his first game in the famous Drew League pro-am in California on Saturday, and he put on a show. The Drew League has seen a wide range of NBA talent over the years, including LeBron James, DeMar DeRozan and even Kobe Bryant.
None of them were able to do what Irving did on Saturday.

Kyrie had 20 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in his first Drew League game. That’s good for a triple-double – the first-ever triple-double in the Drew League’s 50-year history.
It’s often said that Kyrie’s game is similar to how basketball is played on playgrounds around the country, and that’s apparently true given how well it translated to the Drew League’s less structured environment.
Of course, anything is possible when you’re an NBA All-Star playing against non-professionals.
Irving is set to return to the Dallas Mavericks for his first full season with the team. He was acquired near the trade deadline last season in a blockbuster move that paired him with fellow All-Star Luka Doncic.
The pair had a limited amount of time to get used to playing with one another, but fans are expecting them to improve this season. The Mavericks will be looking to get back to the playoffs after missing out on the postseason this year.
