In 2022, I wrote a number of articles I am proud of, including profiles/reviews of exhibitions by visual artists Tobi Kahn, Julian Schnabel, Cy Twombly, Shantell Martin, Shepard Fairey, Beatrice Wood, Robert Longo, the Nan Goldin documentary, a profile of theater producer Dale Franzen and businessman Chris Burch, about a collection of antique armor and weapons, the band Larkin Poe, and the musician Hania Rani, however what stood out from my profiles in 2022, at least in the eyes of the judges of the Los Angeles Press Club’s 65th Annual Socal Journalism Awards was my piece The Art of Lisa Edelstein, for which I’ve been nominated for Best PERSONALITY PROFILE, Film/TV Personalities.
