Time has seriously flown by! It’s been more than eight years since Lab Rats first premiered on Disney XD on February 27, 2012!
The fan-favorite series stayed on the air for four epic seasons and came to an end on February 3, 2016. The show starred William Brent, Kelli Berglund, Tyrel Jackson Williams, Hal Sparks, Maile Flanagan, Angel Parker, Jeremy Kent Jackson, Spencer Boldman, Brandon Salgado Telis, Madison Pettis and more. It was all about a normal boy named Leo whose life got turned upside down after he discovered a secret underground lab that housed three superhuman teenagers. The trio — Adam, the strong one, Bree, the fast one and Chase, the smart one — joined Leo at school, where they had to fit in while hiding their unpredictable bionic strengths.
It was definitely a big part of a lot of people’s childhoods, and when it went off the air, it was truly the end of an era! Then the show had its own spinoff series, Lab Rats: Elite Force, which aired for one season in 2016. After both shows said goodbye to DisneyXD, one of the stars, Spencer, took to Twitter and penned a heartfelt goodbye to the entire franchise.
“Lab Rats has forever changed my life,” the actor wrote on Twitter in October 2016. “[I] will never be able to thank the fans enough for my four years on the show, and want to congratulate the new cast on this past season. Over 100 episodes later, it’s because of all of you I’ve been afforded the opportunities in my life … That show, and our entire cast and crew, will always have a piece of my heart. Unbelievably excited to see what the future has in store for everyone who has been a part of the show, new and old. I’m so proud of what we did.”
