Lady Gaga hilariously called out for making fake Instagram Boomerang

Lady Gaga is a true millennial.

The pop star was called out by Gen Zers on Tuesday for making a fake Instagram Boomerang video while promoting the Black Friday sale for her Haus Labs cosmetics brand.

Gaga, 36, tried to recreate a Boomerang — a short video clip that plays on a loop — showing off a yellow tube of makeup as she tucked her hair behind her ear.

However, fans quickly noticed that the repeated movements didn’t match up and the video lacked the Boomerang effect icon.

“not her making a fake boomerang,” one fan tweeted, adding, “i wonder if she’s being her genius campy self or if she actually thinks that’s what people do when they post boomerangs…”

“someone said she put the BOOMER in Boomerang & I’ve been screaming ever since,” another fan joked.

A third user wrote, “lady gaga, the woman who knows technology well enough to create ultra-sonic EDM sounds and songs + produce full on albums and make interludes like the ones at chromatica ball. but also the woman who doesn’t know technology well enough to do a boomerang.”

Meanwhile, others argued the flub was intentional in order to gain more publicity.

“She’s actually a genius. Im sure she is sure people will repost the clip everywhere to mock her, but in both of those clips she’s selling a product… and you’re giving her free exposure everywhere,” one fan pointed out. “I hadn’t even seen these products on her insta and now thanks to Twitter I have.”

Gaga’s fans — known as “Little Monsters” — have always been quick to defend “Mother Monster” amid her numerous controversies.

The Grammy-winning songstress had to cancel her final “Chromatica Ball” performance back in September and was met with a wave of support following the difficult decision.

“Look, for years some of you have called me ‘mother monster,’ in my heart I knew it was better to keep you safe. Thank you for believing in me,” Gaga wrote alongside an emotional video at the time.

Gaga has yet to address the comments on her latest viral video.
