The Los Angeles Lakers could add some reinforcements when fighting to stay alive Monday night.
According to TNT’s Chris Haynes, Lakers head coach Darvin Ham expects Mo Bamba to return for a must-win Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets. The center has missed their last nine games with an ankle injury.

Acquired from the Orlando Magic in February, Bamba averaged 3.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks in nine regular-season games.
Bamba wasn’t much of a factor in Los Angeles’ opening round. He played 10 minutes without scoring a point in three games, grabbing three rebounds in a Game 6 blowout victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Yet the Lakers currently lack size, which has shown while trying to contain Nikola Jokić. The star center has collected 44 boards in three straight Nuggets victories.
It’s nevertheless going to take much more than a returning Bamba to reverse the Lakers’ fortunes. As the 150th NBA team to fall down 3-0 in a playoff series, they’ll look to become the first to mount a successful comeback.
Denver can punch a ticket to the NBA Finals with a win Monday night. Game 4 starts at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
