Los Angeles Lakers GM Rob Pelinka did a great job making trades at the trade deadline, leading toward a second-half reassurance during the season.
As a result, the Lakers advanced to the Western Conference Finals before the Denver Nuggets swept them. Pelinka said the team wants to build off that success in free agency with ideal pieces this offseason.
According to The Athletic’s Jovan Buha, one could be Nuggets free agent Bruce Brown.
“The Lakers are increasingly confident they can sign Nuggets free-agent wing Bruce Brown Jr. for the non-taxpayer midlevel exception starting at a projected $12.4 million, multiple league sources not authorized to speak publicly on the matter told The Athletic.”

Brown, 26, averaged 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists on 48.3 percent shooting from the field and 36 percent shooting from long distance to help the Nuggets capture their first championship in franchise history.
