Land of Women is the latest project starring Eva Longoria that proves that she is one of Hollywood’s most booked and busy stars.
After her directorial debut this year in Flamin’ Hot and hosting duties on Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico this year, the 48-year-old former Desperate Housewives star will star in this new drama, which is based on Sandra Barneda’s bestselling novel of the same name.
Directed by Carlos Sedes, the six-episode drama, which is set to land on Apple TV+, will see Eva in the role of Gala, a New York empty nester who is forced to go on the run and turn to the other women in her family for comfort and support when her husband gets them involved in fraudulent money-related matters.

What is the plot of Land of Women?
The official synopsis for Land of Women via Apple TV+ reads: “Land of Women is a dramedy starring Longoria as Gala, a New York empty nester whose life is turned upside down when her husband implicates the family in financial improprieties, and she is forced to flee the city alongside her ageing mother and college-age daughter.
“To escape the dangerous criminals to whom Gala’s now vanished husband is indebted, the three women hide in the same charming wine town in northern Spain that Gala’s mother fled 50 years ago, vowing never to return. The women seek to start anew and hope their identities will remain unknown, but gossip in the small town quickly spreads, unraveling their deepest family secrets and truths.”
The series was shot in both English and Spanish and will be made available by the streaming service to watch in each language.
Eva serves as executive producer on the project under her UnbeliEVAble Entertainment alongside Ramón Campos.
