Last drinks: Perth gin bar Flour Factory CLOSING its doors

City bar The Flour Factory will pour its last gin and tonic in April before reopening the following month as a new South American-inspired venue.

Co-owner Andy Freeman said it would be sad to close The Flour Factory, which he opened in 2014 — the second venture for his Sneakers and Jeans hospitality group following whiskey bar, Varnish on King, which has operated for nine years.

“It’s the end of an era,” Freeman told the West Australian. “The Flour Factory is one of the very first venues we opened and we’ve all enjoyed some incredible memories.

“Over the past eight years, it’s been the home of thousands of gins, events and hundreds of love stories from all the weddings we’ve hosted there too.
