Kentucky Bracketology predictions: Wildcats might be March Madness lock now
If John Calipari’s team were to put on a theatrical production to sum up the panic of the previous month, it would undoubtedly be Much Ado About Nothing.
After a demoralizing loss to Georgia, Kentucky is now riding a four-game winning streak that includes a win over then-No. 10 Tennessee and two victories over potential NCAA Tournament teams in Mississippi State and Auburn, a historic blowout win over the latter coming this past weekend.
In his Bracketology projections for Monday, Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has the Wildcats essentially off the bubble as a No. 7 seed. With games remaining at Rupp Arena vs. Vanderbilt and on the road against Arkansas, it would take something dramatic for this Kentucky team to fall out of the March Madness field before the SEC Tournament.
And the truth of it is they might have played their way into simply being a lock to make it now.
