We all have our preferences when it comes to the perfect swimsuit, from color or pattern to style and fit. The same goes for each one of our SI Swimsuit models, who sport a handful of chic and flattering bikinis and one-pieces each year during their photoshoots.
During Miami Swim Week, we like to check in with the models to see which of their many outfits they liked the best. For Lauren Chan, the answer came easily to her, as she clearly loved the look.
While playing a game of giant Jenga with fellow SI Swim rookie Mady Dewey, Chan confidently answered that her favorite look from her 2023 rookie feature in the Dominican Republic was her Bromelia tortoise shell bikini.
The size-inclusion advocate wore the string bikini while posing in a cenote, or a naturally-occurring pool filled with clear blue groundwater. Chan loved how the swimsuit looked in the images themselves, blending nicely with the beautiful natural landscape in the background.
“I just think the colors are stunning, it’s wearable as ready-to-wear as well because of the neutral shades and what I typically choose to style with, and it looked so gorgeous against that deep, deep blue water,” she said of the suit.
“Can’t go wrong,” Dewey replied.
As Chan suggested, the photos in the Bromelia bikini really are stunning—the colors in the pool naturally enhanced those of the swimsuit, and Chan absolutely glowed from her perch, partially-submerged in the clear blue waters.
