Gregg Popovich is one of the greatest head coaches in NBA history.
Popovich has five NBA championships and is the most winningest coach in San Antonio Spurs history to show for it.
Although Popovich is 74-year-old, it appears he isn’t going anywhere soon. The Spurs agreed to a five-year, $80 million contract with the coach on Saturday, according to reports.
“Gregg Popovich signed a new five-year deal worth more than $80 million with the San Antonio Spurs, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.”
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James reacted to the news on social media.
“POP!!!!!! Congrats on the new deal. Next wine dinner on you.”

James and Popovich have built a strong relationship dating back to the early stages of his career.
The contract extension means Popovich will be around to develop 2023 No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama, the most hyped prospect since James.
