Understandably, the James family is reportedly focused solely on their eldest son’s health as he recovers from his recent scare.
During a practice on Monday, USC freshman Bronny James suffered cardiac and was transported to a local hospital. He’s since been released from the ICU and is in stable condition.
LeBron James and his wife, Savannah, are not worried about Bronny’s basketball future right now.
“If Bronny isn’t able to ever play basketball again, so be it,” a source reportedly told gossip tabloid DailyMail.com. “But those decisions are a long way away.”
The James family released this statement after Monday’s incident:
“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest,” a James family spokesperson said. “Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information.
“LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
Bronny, a five-star McDonald’s All-American, is heading into his first collegiate season with the Trojans. It’s currently unclear when the 18-year-old guard will return to the basketball court.
