“I think this will be the end of his time at Leeds at the end of this season because he’s been at Leeds longer than anywhere else.
“But I do think at times you have to be able to adapt as a manager. I know you have your principles, I know you want to play a certain way, but if things aren’t working and you haven’t got the players to do what you have to do I think you’ve got to maybe change a little bit.”
Bielsa routinely signs one-year contract extensions, which, obviously, creates a level of speculation around his future and whether he is settled at the club or only acts with the near future in mind.
But it may be too premature to sack the 66-year-old considering that he is not failing with his very best crop of players, though he may have to shoulder some of the blame for being ill-prepared for some injuries.
