Paul Pierce can relate to Ja Morant posting something foolish on Instagram Live.
The Memphis Grizzlies suspended their 23-year-old star after another video surfaced of him appearing to hold a gun. Following the latest incident, the former Boston Celtics commented on the need for the old guard to teach current players how to handle themselves.
“These young boys really don’t be knowing how to move but that’s on the OGs to teach them,” Pierce said. “But they gotta let us in sometimes. It’s just a disconnect between two different generations.”

As some Twitter users were quick to point out, Pierce might not be the wrong messenger.
ESPN fired Pierce after an Instagram Live video showed him smoking, drinking, and partying with dancers. The former analyst star asked, “What did I do wrong?” during a recent I Am Athlete interview before saying Disney dismissed him for violating a morals clause.
In both cases, Pierce and Morant could have saved themselves a lot of trouble by simply staying off social media.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Morant may face a “lengthy” suspension to start the next season.
