Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday make for one of those nw on screen pairs this year that the audience is the most excited to see. The first spark of their chemistry was seen in the pictures that the makers shared during the cast announcement. Since then, while the makers have unveiled quite a few teasers and posters of Vijay’s character, the first glimpse of  Ananya’s character in Liger was seen in the announcement poster of the song Akdi Pakdi and now that it has finally released, it’s safe to say it was worth the wait.

Akdi Pakdi is a completely massy dance number that sees Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday dance their hearts out. The video of the song starts with them running from some people on a bike on the streets of Mumbai and the chemistry between them is palpable from the first moment.

Both Vijay and Ananya are balls of energies throughout the song and the beats of it will make anyone groove. The ‘Liger step’ is quite an interesting one and will surely going to become a trend on Instagram reels soon. Seeing the otherwise shy Vijay break out into dance with so much energy, along with Ananya’s spunk is a sure delight.

The song is composed by Lijo George, DJ Chetas and Sunil Kashyap with lyrics by Mohsin Shaikh and Azeem Dayan, and vocals by Dev Negi, Pawni Pandey and Lijo George. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger sees Vijay in the role of a mixed martial artist and also features Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishnan. The film is slated to release pan-India theatrically on August 25, 2022 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Liger marks Vijay’s debut in Hindi films and Ananya’s debut down South, and with Akdi Pakdi being such a chartbuster, the expectations from the film have increased all the more.
